Elliott DowlingRegional Director, East Region

Elliott Dowling is the regional director of the East Region for the USGA Green Section's Course Consulting Service.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with an emphasis in turfgrass management from Iowa State University, and his Masters of Professional Studies in turfgrass management from Penn State University. Dowling is based in western Massachusetts and is focused on helping golf facilities maintain better playing conditions through on-site visits, educational outreach and research throughout New England and New York. Before joining the USGA, Dowling was golf course superintendent at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville, Ill. He also was the superintendent at the Ivanhoe (Ill.) Club and an assistant superintendent at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., in addition to golf course internships in Illinois, Colorado and California.
