One of the best things about working on a golf course is all the wonderful sights you encounter from the first light hitting the grass until the long shadows of evening. You get to enjoy watching a course change with weather and the seasons, you see animals that hide out of sight when golfers crowd the fairways, and you see plants bloom, grow and change throughout the year. In our digital age, you also have the power to capture many of these moments on your cameras and phones and share them instantly around the world. In these challenging times of social distancing and widespread uncertainty, sharing and connecting however we can feels more important than ever.

Like everyone in the golf industry, the USGA Green Section staff loves seeing the photos shared online from golf courses each day and we want to highlight some of your amazing photography in the USGA Green Section Record. We invite anyone that works on a golf course, or sees golf course maintenance in action, to send us their favorite photos throughout the year and we will publish one each month along with a description of the moment you captured. The photos can be of anything, from a beautiful sunrise to reels being sharpened in the shop. If the image is seasonally appropriate or captures an important theme in the golf industry, so much the better. Please submit entries to GreenSection@usga.org, if your photo is selected for publication you will be contacted and hopefully you can share some thoughts about the image. We look forward to seeing your wonderful photos and highlighting them throughout the year. The first selection will be published in the May 15 issue of the USGA Green Section Record.
