At the 2020 Golf Industry Show in Orlando, Florida, a panel of four USGA agronomists from different regions of the country discussed new trends in aeration and topdressing. The panel covered some of the new equipment being used for these practices along with various approaches to frequency and timing. Newer tools and techniques were also compared with some of the more traditional methods to see whether new approaches were producing better results. The interesting and lively discussion was led by moderator Nelson Caron, director of golf course and grounds maintenance at the Ford Plantation in Georgia, and included audience participation throughout the session.
