Catching sunrises that most people miss has always been one of the benefits of working on a golf course and is a nice reward for waking up so early. This beauty of a sunrise not only highlights a special time of day, it also illustrates how golf courses can benefit their communities. This golf course pond is one of several that were built to capture and filter stormwater from the surrounding suburbs before injecting the water approximately 150 meters down into the aquifer below. This system recharges between 35-55 million gallons of water each year.
