On Oct. 16, 2014 the Grass Roots Exhibit at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, D.C. was opened to the public. With cooperation from the USGA and allied turfgrass associations, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Grass Roots Exhibit is the cornerstone of a four-year initiative highlighting the environmental, economic, aesthetic, and recreational benefits of turfgrass through a series of workshops, symposia and demonstrations.
Conveniently located near the Arboretum’s Visitor Center and Arbor House, the 1.3-acre Grass Roots Exhibit features 12 interactive displays including a display on golf.
The Grass Roots Exhibit can be visited free of charge Friday through Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, D.C.
