  • U.S. Senior Women’s Open
One of the USGA’s newest championships, the U.S. Senior Women’s Open is only entering its sixth year in 2024. Since its inception in 2018, senior women’s golf has flourished, with several major competitions having sprung up throughout the country. The Senior Women’s Open serves as a national championship for female golfers who are getting back to playing competitively later in life, or have maintained a long competitive career.

The winner receives an exemption into the championship for the next 10 years or through the age of 65 (whichever yields the higher number of exemptions), an exemption into the following year’s U.S. Women’s Open, a gold medal and custody of the U.S. Senior Women’s Open Trophy for one year.

The trophy represents the recognition of the growth of women’s golf and the increasing number of worthy age-eligible competitors around the world and celebrates the accomplishments of its competitors as well as the opportunity the championship presents.
