Road to Pine Needles: Top 10 and ties from 2021 U.S. Women's Open
Gifted with a powerful swing and ebullient personality, Yin first made a name for herself in the 2017 Solheim Cup as a captain’s pick by Juli Inkster. She scored 1.5 points in three matches for the victorious USA side. Yin was also a member of the 2019 Solheim Cup Team. In the 2021 U.S. Women's Open, Yin carded rounds of 67-70 on the weekend to finish solo sixth. Her best U.S. Women's Open finish is a tie for second in 2019 at the Country Club of Charleston. Yin reached the championship match of the 2015 U.S. Girls’ Junior, where she fell to Eun Jeong Seong, 3 and 2, at Tulsa (Okla.) Country Club. Yin turned professional after graduating from Arcadia (Calif.) High School. Her only victory to date is the 2017 Omega Dubai Ladies Classic on the Ladies European Tour.
