Fassi will make her fourth U.S. Women’s Open start. No. 2 on the LPGA Tour in driving distance (282.2 yards), Fassi owns one victory since turning professional just before the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open (2020 Cooper Communities NWA Classic on the Women’s All Pro Tour). Fassi, who tied for 12th in her professional debut in last year’s U.S. Women’s Open, enjoyed a decorated amateur career, representing Mexico in the 2016 and 2018 Women’s World Amateur Team Championships and winning the Mexican Women’s Amateur in 2015, 2016 and 2018. At Arkansas, she was the 2018 and 2019 Annika Award winner (player of the year) and a two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year. As a senior in 2019, Fassi won the NCAA title and finished runner-up to Jennifer Kupcho in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
