Earned a sponsor’s exemption into LPGA Tour’s Marathon Classic by winning NCAAs and competed as a professional. After missing the cut and playing in one mini-tour event, Vaughn decided to withdraw from the first stage of LPGA Tour Qualifying School that fall. Briefly worked as a server in a popular Scottsdale, Ariz., steakhouse before being named Oregon’s assistant women’s golf coach in 2018. She recently regained her amateur status. The native of Reedsport, Ore., won a pair of Oregon high school titles and was named the Oregon Golf Association’s Player of the Year in 2010.
