All four of Lim’s professonal victories have come on the on the LPGA of Korea Tour, including three in her rookie campaign of 2019, where she finished second in the Rookie-of-the-Year chase to Ayean Cho. This will be her second start in the U.S. Women’s Open after missing the cut in the all-exempt 2020 championship at Champions Golf Club in Houston. She finished second to countrywoman Jin Young Ko in last year's LPGA BMW Championship, an event co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour. She finished sixth in that same event in 2019.
