Liu became the third player from the People’s Republic of China to win on the Symetra Tour when she captured the 2017 Tullymore Classic. She joined 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur runner-up Cindy Feng and Hong Mei Yang. Liu made 26 of 28 cuts on the LPGA Tour in 2019 to finish 20th on the money list. She also shot a career-low 62 in the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. Besides tying for fifth in the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open, she tied for seventh in the Women’s British Open. Attended Duke for one year (2013-14), helping the Blue Devils capture the NCAA title.
