The winner of seven major championships, including a pair of U.S. Women’s Opens (2008 and 2013), has been the No. 1 player in the Rolex Rankings on four different occasions between April 2013 and July 2018. Park became the youngest winner of the U.S. Women’s Open in 2008 at 19 years, 11 months, 17 days . In 2013, she won the championship again as part of a run of three consecutive major titles (ANA Inspiration and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship). Park moved to the United States at age 12 to help enhance her golf career. She won the 2002 U.S. Girls’ Junior at the age of 14 and was the runner-up in 2003 and 2005. She also was a semifinalist in the 2003 U.S. Women’s Amateur. In 2016, Park added to her legacy by claiming the gold medal in the Olympics. In 14 U.S. Women’s Open starts, she has nine top 10s. She collected her 21st LPGA Tour victory earlier this season at the Kia Classic.
