Ji claimed the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open at Saucon Valley Country Club in dramatic fashion, holing a 20-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole to edge Candie Kung by one stroke. It came a year after she claimed her maiden LPGA Tour title in the Wegmans LPGA. She owns nine worldwide victories, five coming on the LPGA Tour. Her last victory is the 2019 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions. Besides her U.S. Women’s Open triumph, Ji owns six other top-10 finishes in majors, including a share of second in the 2012 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and a tie for third in the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open. This is her 14th U.S. Women’s Open start.
