Just a few months after thumb surgery, Creamer claimed the biggest title of her career, the 2010 U.S. Women's Open at Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club. At 3-under 281, she was the only golfer to better par over 72 holes. Creamer missed last year's U.S. Women's Open at Champions Golf Club, the final year of her 10-year exemption, due to injury. The USGA granted the 10-time LPGA Tour winner a special exemption to compete not far from her hometown of Pleasanton, Calif. Creamer had a decorated junior/amateur career, winning 11 American Junior Golf Association titles and reaching the semifinals of the 2004 U.S. Women's Amateur, the same year she represented the USA on the victorious Curtis Cup Team, was selected to the USA Women's World Amateur Team, and was low amateur in the U.S. Women's Open. Creamer chose to turn professional at 18 and quickly won the 2005 Sybase Classic in her rookie season on the LPGA Tour. Her last victory to date is the 2014 HSBC Champions, defeating Azhara Munoz in a playoff. The seven-time U.S. Solheim Cup competitor will be making her 18th U.S. Women's Open appearance.
