Choi broke through in 2011 at Blackwolf Run to capture the U.S. Women's Open by four strokes over Amy Yang, thanks to a third-round 65. nine of Choi's 15 worldwide wins have been on the LPGA Tour, the last coming in the 2015 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Choi announced her presence as a 17-year-old amateur when she bested 1998 U.S. Women's Open champion and Korean icon Se Ri Pak at the ADT CAPS Invitational. She turned professional shortly thereafter. In 2014, Choi represented Korea in the UL International Crown.
