The Wayne, N.J., native owns one LPGA Tour victory since turning professional in 2012, claiming the Cambia Portland Classic by four strokes over Georgia Hall. This will be her seventh start in the U.S. Women's Open, with a best finish of T-11 in 2017 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. As an amateur, Alex won the 2010 Southeastern Conference title. Alex joined the Symetra Tour after turning pro and finished third on the money list in 2013 to earn her LPGA Tour card. Her best finish in a major championship is a tie for ninth in the 2014 Women's British Open.
