Stahle enjoyed an outstanding amateur career, winning consecutive British Ladies Amateur titles in 2004 and 2005, along with the 2002 French Amateur. She was a member of Sweden’s victorious 2004 Women’s World Amateur Team. As an Arizona State freshman in 204-05, she had one of the finest seasons in school history, winning three times, including the Pacific-10 Conference title, and finishing runner-up on four occasions. She was the conference’s player and freshman of the year and captured the Golfstat Cup, given to the golfer with the lowest stroke average with at least 20 full rounds. She turned pro shortly after tying for eighth in the 2005 Weetabix British Open. In 2007, she was named the Ladies European Tour’s Rookie of the Year.
