Harm will make her second U.S. Women’s Open start – and first as a professional – after competing in 2019 at the Country Club of Charleston. Harm sustained serious injuries when she was hit by a drunk driver while jogging in 2013. She sustained broken ribs, a broken hip and ankle, head injuries and a collapsed lung, and doctors feared she might not survive, let alone play golf again. She recovered and went on to capture the 2018 Ladies British Amateur at Hillside Golf Club in England, becoming the first German to take that prestigious title since the championship’s inception in 1893. She also claimed a pair of German Amateur titles in 2014 and 2015. In 2019, she won the American Athletic Conference individual title for Houston. She turned professional early in 2020.
