In 2015 at Lancaster (Pa.) Country Club, Darquea, then a standout at the University of Miami (Fla.), became the first player from Ecuador to play in a U.S. Women’s Open. This will be her third start in the championship and second as a professional. Her lone professional win to date is the 2017 IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa on the Symetra Tour. Darquea won a trio of college events at Miami, where she was a three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer while earning honorable-mention All-America honors.
