Lee will make her seventh U.S. Women’s Open start – and fourth as a professional – after sharing medalist honors on April 26 in Beaumont, Calif. Lee is splitting time in 2021 on the LPGA and Symetra Tours. Her best season as a professional came in her rookie campaign of 2015 when she rose to as high as 23rd on the Rolex Rankings, made 19 of 23 cuts and was selected to the USA Solheim Cup Team. This came after she earned her LPGA Tour card at Q-School in the fall of 2014, midway through her sophomore year at UCLA. In 2013, Lee won the Annika Award as the top college player and claimed the Pacific-12 Conference title. That summer, she helped the 2014 USA Curtis Cup Team retain the cup and won the North & South Women’s Amateur at Pinehurst. Lee also represented her country in the 2014 Women’s World Amateur Team Championship. In 2012, she was the runner-up to Minjee Lee (no relation) in her sixth and final U.S. Girls’ Junior. In 2013, the Valencia, Calif., native lost in the semifinals of the U.S. Women’s Amateur to eventual champion Emma Talley. Lee tied for 26th in her first U.S. Women’s Open in 2009 at Saucon Valley at the age of 14.
