The native of Austin, Texas, captured a pair of U.S. Women’s Amateur titles; in 2014 over future major champion Brooke Henderson at Nassau Country Club on Long Island and four years later over Jiwon Jeon at The Golf Club of Tennessee in suburban Nashville, Tenn. That victory came two months after Gillman went 5-0 for the victorious USA Curtis Cup Team at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, N.Y. Gillman also represented the USA in the 2014 Women’s World Amateur Team Championship. She made 22 of 26 cuts in her rookie season on the LPGA Tour in 2019 to place 43rd on the money list. Gillman notched her first professional win in the Hurricane Classic on the Women’s All-Pro Tour in Anna, Texas, on June 12. At Alabama, Gillman was a two-time All-American. This will be her first U.S. Women’s Open start as a professional.
