Ciganda has quietly become one of the LPGA Tour’s top players. The two-time LPGA Tour winner owns eight top-10 finishes in majors, including a tie for fifth (2017) and a solo third (2018) in eight U.S. Women’s Open starts. The former Arizona State standout also earned a share of third in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in October at Aronimink Golf Club. As an amateur, Ciganda represented Spain in three Women’s World Amateur Team Championships (2006, 2008 and 2010) and reached the quarterfinals of the 2008 U.S. Women’s Amateur at Eugene (Ore.) Country Club, losing to eventual champion Amanda Blumenherst. She has played in four Solheim Cups for Europe, winning in 2013 and 2019. She also helped Spain to victory in the 2014 UL International Crown.
