  • He and partner Andrew Buchanan reached the semifinals after defeating No. 1 seed and stroke-play medalists Brandon Matthews and Patrick Ross
  • Played in the 2013 and 2014 U.S. Amateurs
  • Sophomore on Southern Methodist University team
  • Vice president of SMU’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee

 

Andrew Buchanan, 21, of Los Altos, Calif.

  • Born Sept. 19, 1994 in Los Altos, Calif.
  • No. 747 in World Amateur Golf Ranking™
  • He and partner Ben Baxter are the No. 9 seeds in the match-play bracket
  • Competing in his first USGA championship
  • Senior on Southern Methodist University team
  • 2015 first-team American Athletic Conference

 

Otto Black, 22, of Pinckney, Mich.

  • Born March 9, 1994 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
  • No. 388 in World Amateur Golf Ranking™
  • He and partner Colin Joseph defeated Nos. 2 and 7 to advance to the semifinals
  • Competing in his first USGA championship
  • Senior on University of Toledo team
  • Earned All-Mid-American Conference honors four times
  • Winner of the 2014 Ball State Invitational

 

Colin Joseph, 19, of Loveland, Ohio

  • Born June 11, 1996 in Portage, Mich.
  • He and partner Otto Black defeated No. 2 seed Scott Harvey and Todd Mitchell in the Round of 16
  • Also partnered to dispatch former SMU teammates Jason Enloe and Alex Buecking in quarterfinals
  • Playing in his first USGA championship
  • Sophomore on the University of Toledo team

 

Patrick Christovich, 37, of New Orleans, La.

  • Born July 18, 1978 in New Orleans, La.
  • No. 500 in World Amateur Golf Ranking™
  • He and partner Garrett Rank are the lowest remaining seed (No. 4) in the championship
  • Competing in his 11th USGA championship
  • Quarterfinalist in the 2014 U.S. Mid-Amateur
  • Advanced to 2016 U.S. Open sectional qualifying
  • Works as a real estate agent

 

Garrett Rank, 28, of Canada

  • Born Sept. 5, 1987 in Kitchener, Ontario
  • No. 1,111 in World Amateur Golf Ranking™
  • He and partner Patrick Christovich played in the longest match (21 holes) in U.S. Amateur Four-Ball history during their Round-of-16 win
  • Competing in his 11th USGA championship
  • Runner-up in the 2012 U.S. Mid-Amateur and reached match play in last year’s U.S. Amateur
  • 2014 and 2015 Canadian Mid-Amateur champion
  • American Hockey League and National Hockey League referee

 

Brandon Cigna, 30, of Arlington, Va.

  • He and partner Ben Warnquist defeated Nos. 3 and 6 seeds to advance to the semifinals
  • Playing in his second USGA championship
  • Won three Big Ten Conference championships as a member of the Michigan State University team

  • He and partner Brandon Cigna defeated No. 3 seed Drew Allenspach and Matthew Van Zandt in the quarterfinals
  • Competing in his fourth USGA championship
  • Advanced to 2016 U.S. Open sectional qualifying
  • Reached Round of 16 in the 2010 U.S. Junior Amateur
  • 2015 Maryland State Amateur champion
