The calendar may still say 2015 but it’s never too soon to start planning ahead, especially for competitive junior golfers with an increasingly packed playing schedule. For those hoping to compete in the 2016 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship (July 18-23 at the Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn.) or the 2016 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship (July 18-23 at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, N.J.), a big question is figuring out where and when to play in sectional qualifying.
While entries for these championships don’t open until the week of April 4, 2016, several sectional qualifying sites and dates around the country have been confirmed. Below is a tentative list, representing roughly 40 to 50 percent of the eventual sectional qualifying sites, to assist junior golfers in making their 2016 plans as they gear up for the most prestigious titles in junior golf. As additional qualifying locations are added or existing sites and dates are revised, the list will be updated.
Visit the Apply to Play page on usga.org for additional details on 2016 USGA championship entry applications.
NOTE: Dates and sites in the two tables below are subject to change.
