Far Hills, N.J. – The 2013 U.S. Open Championship, scheduled for June 13-16, will be conducted at historic Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa., and USGA Members can purchase a variety of weekly ticket options during an exclusive Members-only advance opportunity that begins today and ends May 1, 2012.

The U.S. Open Championship returns to Merion Golf Club for the first time since 1981. Due to anticipated demand, the USGA expects tickets to sell out quickly.
A variety of weekly ticket options are available, including 1895 Club, Trophy Club, and Grounds packages.
1895 Club: In addition to grounds access, these tickets gain entrance to an exclusive air-conditioned, pavilion that offers live television coverage of the U.S. Open, ample seating and the convenience of an all-inclusive ticket which features breakfast, a hot-lunch buffet and afternoon snacks with a full bar service.
Trophy Club: These tickets include access to the grounds of Merion Golf Club, as well as the Trophy Club, an air-conditioned pavilion featuring live U.S. Open television coverage. Food and beverage may be purchased for an additional charge.
Grounds: These tickets provide grounds access to Merion Golf Club and the championship.
Trophy Club and Grounds tickets can be purchased as a week-long ticket package or as a discounted week-long badge. Ticket packages include one individual ticket for each day of the week while the badge is a single credential valid for the entire week. All weekly ticket options include playoff access for Monday, June 17 (if needed). Playoff tickets for the 1895 Club will provide Trophy Club access only.
Each ticket package or badge purchased during the USGA Members Advance Opportunity include a voucher for one complimentary official 2013 U.S. Open Program and free public parking with shuttle transportation to and from the parking area and the Championship admission gate.
The 2013 U.S. Open will be the fifth contested at Merion, but first since 1981 when Australian David Graham won by three strokes over George Burns and Bill Rogers. Merion also was the site of Ben Hogan’s historic 1950 Open triumph when he returned following a near-fatal automobile accident in 1949. Hogan’s 1-iron approach shot to the 72nd hole remains one of the Open’s most iconic memories. He would win the title the following day in an 18-hole playoff over Lloyd Mangrum and George Fazio.
Olin Dutra claimed the first Open at Merion in 1934, while Lee Trevino defeated Jack Nicklaus in a playoff to win the 1971 Open. Merion is also the site where Bob Jones completed his “Grand Slam” in the 1930 when he won the U.S. Amateur.
In all, Merion has hosted 18 USGA championships, the most of any club in the U.S.
