Far Hills, N.J. – Tickets for the 2012 U.S. Open Championship scheduled for June 14-17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif., are on sale, beginning today. The U.S. Open will return to The Olympic Club for the fifth time, the first since 1998.
The USGA has eliminated the random drawing process for tickets and as a result championship tickets are available for purchase immediately, on a first- come, first-served basis, while supplies last. A variety of tickets and packages are available:
- 1895 Club tickets: Overlooking the 16th green and the 17th tee, this exclusive air-conditioned pavilion offers live broadcast coverage, ample seating and the convenience of an all-inclusive ticket which features breakfast, a hot-lunch buffet and afternoon snacks with a full bar service throughout the day.
- Trophy Club tickets: Trophy Club tickets include access to the grounds of The Olympic Club, as well as the Trophy Club, an air-conditioned pavilion with live U.S. Open television coverage. Food and beverages may be purchased for an additional charge.
- Grounds tickets: Grounds tickets provide access to the grounds of The Olympic Club.
- Weekly packages: Each ticket type can be purchased as a discounted, weeklong ticket package. All weekly packages include a playoff ticket for Monday, June 18 (if needed). 1895 Club ticket packages include a Trophy Club playoff ticket.
Tickets purchased include free public parking and transportation to and from the parking area and the championship entrance.
Ticket orders will only be accepted on the USGA website at www.usga.org/tickets or if received via a mailed application. Questions or a request for a printed application can be directed via e-mail to ticketquestions@usga.org or via phone 1-800- 698-0661.
Junior tickets are always available on-site at Will Call and at all admission gates during the championship. Juniors age 12 and younger will be admitted free of charge any day when accompanied by an adult ticket holder. Tickets for juniors age 13 to 17 will be available for purchase at a reduced rate of $15 for practice rounds and $35 for championship rounds.
