Sammamish, Wash. – Paul Azinger withdrew from the 2010 U.S. Senior Open Championship on Monday because of a foot injury.

Gary Lindeblad of Spokane, Wash., will take Azinger’s spot in the field. Lindeblad shot a 74 and won a 2-for-1 playoff for the first-alternate spot in the July 5 sectional held at Semiahmoo Golf & Country Club in Blaine, Wash. This will be Lindeblad’s first U.S. Senior Open.

He will join Tom Lehman and Hal Sutton in the 7:45 a.m. group off the first tee on Thursday. – David Shefter
