IMPACT RSI Communications and Marketing Intern (Summer)

Title: IMPACT RSI Communications and Marketing Intern (Summer)

Location: USGA Headquarters, Liberty Corner, N.J.

Position Timeframe:  May through August 2019

From the USGA Handicap System to national amateur championships, to modernizing the delivery of the game’s Rules and supporting sustainable golf course management practices, the United States Golf Association promotes the health of a game that inspires, challenges, and rewards like nothing else can.

Are you looking to join a dynamic team that works together to promote and conserve the true spirit of the game of golf?

Help the USGA’s Research, Science and Innovation (RSI) department as we work to bring a new approach to strengthening the foundation of the game. We are a small team that is harnessing the power of data, technology and collaboration to help golf facilities to reduce costs and provide a better experience for all golfers.

Our work doesn’t leave much time for communicating our results and our impact. That’s why we are looking for an intern to help our innovators connect more effectively with the golf industry. The intern will produce content that educates facility managers, develop materials in support of our products and initiatives, and assist in research and other projects that can benefit golf facilities and golfers around the world.

The intern also will have the opportunity to learn more about all facets of the USGA and its mission, participate in events with other interns, and work with RSI staff to select and complete a capstone project.

What you can expect:

  • Conceiving and producing content for usga.org
  • Communicating with practitioners across the golf industry
  • Developing promotional and support materials for USGA tools and technology
  • Advancing research projects and other RSI initiatives
