Kevin Hammer
USGA President Elect
Kevin Hammer (Boynton Beach, Fla.) enters his fifth year on the USGA Executive Committee and is nominated to become USGA President at the February 2026 Annual Meeting in New York City. Kevin grew up in a “golf house,” the son of a PGA Tour and PGA of America professional and runner-up in the 1960 U.S. Junior Amateur. Kevin’s family home was a revolving door of players, golf course architects, caddies and golf club experts.
Kevin carries a deep appreciation for everyone who makes the game accessible, from the early morning teams at the maintenance facilities, to the PGA professional, to the clubhouse teams that make people feel welcome. Hammer was a standout player, a AJGA First-Team All-American and member of the golf team at the University of Florida. He served 10 years on the Florida State Golf Association Executive Committee, including two years as FSGA President, and has qualified for multiple USGA championships. Kevin is a managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Away from golf, he and his wife Karen are the proud parents of three daughters and a brand new son-in-law.
