Rules of Golf Workshops

We are excited to announce the 2022 in-person PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshop schedule.

All workshops are three days long with optional testing on the morning of the fourth day. They are taught by two instructors, one affiliated with the USGA and one affiliated with the PGA of America.

Currently, the schedule contains only the dates and locations for each workshop.  Instructor and coordinator assignments are being developed and will be shared soon.

Registration online at is scheduled to begin in mid-November.

Our top priority is to host workshops safely.

For in-person workshops, protocols may be implemented in order to host workshops in a safe manner for all attendees and instructors. Those protocols may include a vaccine requirement, negative COVID-19 testing, reducing capacity, social distancing and/or masking at all times, except when actively eating or drinking. We anticipate sharing more when registration opens in mid-November.

USGA Virtual Workshops will also be offered in addition to in-person workshops during the same timeframe (January through March). That schedule will be shared prior to mid-November.

Please note that while we are currently planning to host the workshops in-person, we may, at our discretion, either cancel or hold virtual only workshops if there are safety concerns relating to COVID-19.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please reach out to the USGA Rules team at or (908) 326-1850.

Since 1975, the United States Golf Association and The PGA of America, working together to support the best interests of the game, have offered to the public a series of workshops on the Rules of Golf. These workshops are open to the public and bring together several of the foremost Rules of Golf educators in the game, with the goal of making the Rules accessible to anyone who wishes to learn more about them or sharpen their existing knowledge.
