Addison Barden is an agronomist in the USGA Green Section’s Southeast Region based in the Peachtree City, Ga., office. Addison has a rich combination of academic study focused on plant-insect interactions and broad practical experience at golf courses in both the North and South. Most recently, he was golf course superintendent of the West Course at Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y. He has additional experience at North Jersey Country Club in Wayne, N.J., and at golf courses in the Southeast. During graduate school, he was a graduate teaching assistant at Auburn University while he obtained his master’s degree in entomology. His Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy and soils, with an emphasis in turfgrass management, also is from Auburn University.
