  • U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur
    The U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur is the premier event for female amateur golfers over the age of 25. This championship originated in 1987 to provide a national arena for female amateurs aged 25 and older. It serves as a competitive home for former collegiate golfers who opted to not turn professional.

In 2017, the USGA announced that the winner of the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur would receive an exemption into the following year’s U.S. Women’s Open Championship. The champion also receives an exemption into the next 10 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships, the next two U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships and the next two U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championships (if age-eligible).
