The USGA's vision to support research related to turfgrass and the environment continues to provide critical information in the national debate on land use, water use, and environmental issues. Over the next three years, the USGA will allocate $3.1 million toward 52 projects that address problems specific to managing golf courses in today's environmentally conscious world. In 2005, there will be an additional call for research proposals for $500,000 to address specific problems of regional and national importance.
