2017 U.S. Open: Spectator Information

1895 Club

The 1895 Club is an all-inclusive tented facility located on the grounds of Erin Hills. Admittance to the 1895 Club is for 1895 Club ticket holders only. It is located near the 10th hole and offers comfortable seating, air-conditioning, exclusive restrooms, and a variety of food and drink available at no additional cost.

The 1895 Club is open from 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day.

ADA/Accessibility

The USGA is committed to providing a positive and user-friendly experience for all spectators with disabilities. The following services will be provided.

  • The USGA provides accessible parking spaces in both general spectator parking lots for all vehicles having appropriate license plates or placards. 
  • Our Disabled Services Committee will be on-site to assist spectators with transportation to and from the Disabled Services Headquarters and specific grandstand locations and facilities throughout the course via multi-person golf carts.
  • A limited number of motorized scooters will be available at Disabled Services Headquarters for spectators on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Accessible restrooms will be available at portable restroom locations throughout the championship grounds and at corporate hospitality areas.

Bag Policy/Inspections

Backpacks, briefcases, and/or bags cannot be larger than 6”W x 6”H x 6”D in their natural state.

*Note: transparent/clear plastic hand and shoulder bags no larger than 12”W x 12”H x 12”D are permitted.

-Infant/Medical Exception: All bags exceeding the restricted size limit but are exclusively for the care of infants accompanying an adult is permitted. In addition, bags and/or containers/coolers exceeding the restricted size limit but exclusively are used for medical needs are permitted.

All bags are subject to search by security.

Concessions

There will be concession stands located throughout the grounds of Erin Hills featuring a variety of food and beverage options available for purchase.

Corporate Hospitality

Grandstands

Grandstand seating will be located at strategic viewing areas throughout the golf course for spectators. Seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and grandstands will be closed upon reaching capacity. Access to the grandstands is subject to applicable USGA policies, which will be posted at the entrance to each grandstand.

Hours

Admission gates are open from 6 a.m. to the conclusion of play each day.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

Erin Hills is located 35 miles northwest of Milwaukee.  Complimentary parking and shuttle transportation will be provided to and from Erin Hills.  The general parking lots will have accessible parking spaces for vehicles displaying appropriate HP/DP license plates or placards.
 

U.S. Open Parking (June 12-18, 2017)

Complimentary parking will be provided at TWO large parking lots. The RED Lot is due east of Erin Hills and the BLUE Lot is due south. Please follow general parking signage and/or directions from parking attendants to the designated parking location. Complimentary shuttle transportation will be provided from both parking areas to and from Erin Hills and is expected to take approximately 25 minutes in each direction.

We encourage all fans utilizing I-94 from Madison, points south and west of Milwaukee or Chicago to follow signs to the BLUE Lot. Fans utilizing I-41/I-45 and traveling from points north of Milwaukee are encouraged to follow signs to the RED Lot.

Please note: There is no general parking or disabled fan parking available in the immediate vicinity of the golf course. All other parking is by permit only.

Preferred driving directions to both the RED and BLUE Lots are below. Physical addresses are not available.

BLUE Lot Driving Directions

From points West using I-94 Eastbound

  • Follow I-94 East to Exit 277.
  • Take Exit 277 for Willow Glen Road for 0.2 miles.
  • Continue straight onto Delafield Road for 4.0 miles.
  • Turn left onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signing to the BLUE Lot.

From points South and East using I-94 Westbound
  • Follow I-94 West to Exit 317 (I-43 South/I-894). 
  • Continue onto Exit 316 toward Milwaukee (I-43 North/I-94 West/US-41 West). 
  • Follow signs for I-43 South/Fond du Lac for 1.0 miles. 
  • Continue on I-43 South/I-894 West and follow for 4.6 miles.  Keep right to continue on I-894 West following signs for I-894 West/US-45 North. 
  • Take Exit 1B (left exit) to merge onto I-94 West toward Madison. 
  • Follow I-94 West to Exit 283.
  • Take Exit 283 for County Road P/Sawyer Road for 0.2 miles.
  • At the first  roundabout, keep left at fork to enter roundabout following signs to Delafield Road. Take the third exit onto Sawyer Road.
  • At the second roundabout, take the first exit and stay on Sawyer Road.
  • At the third roundabout, take the first exit onto Delafield Road for 1.9 miles.
  • Turn right onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signing to the BLUE Lot.Passenger Drop-Off


From points North using WI-67 Southbound

  • Follow WI-67 South towards Oconomowoc.
  • Continue onto Summit Avenue going southbound.
  • Turn right onto Delafield Road for 0.4 miles.
  • Turn right onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signing to the BLUE Lot.


From points South using WI-67 Northbound

  • Follow WI-67 North towards Oconomowoc.
  • Turn left onto Delafield Road for 0.4 miles.
  • Turn right onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signing to the BLUE Lot.


From points East using I-90 Westbound

  • Follow I-90 West to Exit 171A for WI-26 toward Milton. 
  • Turn right onto WI-26 North/Milton Ave.  Follow WI-26 North/Milton Ave. for 30.9 miles. 
  • Turn right to merge onto I-94 East and follow for 14.4 miles to Exit 277. 
  • Take Exit 277 for Willow Glen Road for 0.2 miles. Continue straight onto Delafield Road for 4.0 miles.
  • Turn left onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signing to the BLUE Lot.


From points West using I-90 Eastbound

  • Follow I-90 East to Exit 138A (left exit) for I-94 East toward Milwaukee.
  • Follow I-94 East to Exit 277.
  • Take Exit 277 for Willow Glen Road for 0.2 miles.
  • Continue straight onto Delafield Road for 4.0 miles.
  • Turn left onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signing to the BLUE Lot.

RED Lot Driving Directions   


From points South using I-41 Northbound

  • Follow I-41/US-45 northbound towards Fond du Lac.
  • Keep right at Exit 59 to continue onto US-45 North towards West Bend for 0.8 miles.
  • Take Exit 60 for WI-145 toward Fond du Lac Avenue for 0.2 miles.
  • Turn right onto WI-145 South for 1.4 miles.
  • Turn right onto County Road Y and continue for 1.5 miles following signing to the RED Lot.


From Points North using US-45 Southbound

  • Follow US-45 South to Exit 60.
  • Take Exit 60 for WI-145 toward Fond du Lac Avenue for 0.2 miles.
  • Keep left to continue toward WI-145 South. 
  • At the first roundabout, take the second exit onto WI-145 South. 
  • At the second roundabout, take the first exit onto WI-145 South and follow for 1.4 miles. 
  • Turn right onto County Road Y and continue for 1.5 miles following signing to the RED Lot.
     

From points North using I-41 Southbound

  • Follow I-41 South to Exit 60.
  • Take Exit 60 towards WI-145 South for 0.2 miles.
  • At the first roundabout, take the second exit to continue on WI-145 South.
  • At the second roundabout, take the first exit to continue on WI-145 South.
  • At the third roundabout, take the second exit to continue on WI-145 South.
  • At the fourth roundabout, take the second exit to continue on WI-145 South.
  • At the fifth roundabout, take the first exit and continue on WI-145 for 1.4 miles.
  • Turn right onto County Road Y and continue for 1.5 miles following signing to the RED Lot.


For local and area residents, a passenger drop-off location within walking distance to Erin Hills will be identified and communicated in the spring on www.usopen.com. There will be no parking or staging for vehicles at the passenger drop-off location, so pick-up times will need to be coordinated accordingly. Due to traffic restrictions, access is limited to vehicles no larger than a 12-passenger van or limousine.


Playoff

If there is a tie for the low score after 72 holes, an 18-hole playoff is scheduled to be held on Monday, June 19th.

Re-Entry

Re-entry is permitted throughout the day with a valid ticket for that day. Any spectator choosing to leave the grounds and re-enter must have their valid ticket for that day present in order to do so.

Trophy Club

The Trophy Club is an air-conditioned pavilion offering comfortable seating, live network coverage of the championship in a sports bar-like setting, access to executive restroom facilities and a wide variety of food and beverage options may be purchased at an additional charge. The Trophy Club will be located near the Main Admission Gate. Admittance to the Trophy Club is for Trophy Club ticket or badge holders only.

The Trophy Club is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

Weather Warning

The USGA will have meteorology staff on-site to monitor weather conditions. If hazardous conditions are approaching, special “weather warning” messages will be posted on leader boards around the course. -When the warning appears, spectators are advised to take immediate precautions, including clearing the grandstand, prior to play being suspended. -If play is suspended, indicated by one prolonged air horn blast, please close your umbrella and seek shelter. -Please note that play will resume as soon as conditions allow. -No ticket refunds, exchanges, rain checks or replacements will be issued.  However, the USGA, in its sole discretion, may or may not honor a day’s ticket for a subsequent day(s) or partially or fully refund a day’s ticket if fewer than four (4) cumulative hours of play are conducted during an affected day. Information regarding this USGA decision will be posted online at www.usga.org and www.usopen.com.

Will Call

Will Call will be available for spectators beginning on Thursday, June 8th through Sunday, June 18th.
