The United States Golf Association announced that Portland (Ore.) Golf Club has been chosen to host the 2015 U.S. Women's Amateur. The dates of the championship are Aug. 10-16.
This will be the third USGA championship for Portland Golf Club, following the 1982 U.S. Senior Open won by Miller Barber and the 1999 Senior Amateur won by Bill Ploeger. The last Women's Amateur conducted in Oregon was 2008 when Amanda Blumenherst claimed the title.

Today, the course features century-old trees, rolling hills and undulating and lightning-fast greens.
