GAM, USGA Announce New
Alliance Membership Program February 18, 2009
The Golf Association of Michigan and the United States Golf
Association have joined forces to provide Michigan golfers
with the benefits of both organizations, with no additional
cost to members involved. The USGA/GAM Alliance Membership Program is a strategic
partnership that will automatically enroll all 2009
first-time and renewing GAM members into the USGA Members
Program, at the singular cost of the GAM annual fee.
Current individual and dual USGA members at the basic level
will receive an additional year of USGA membership, and
will receive all benefits of the Alliance Membership
Program. Public-facility players will receive automatic
enrollment in this program, while private-facility players
will be enrolled following club approval. Along with the current GAM membership benefits, Alliance
Members will receive all the benefits of the USGA Members
Program, including: - A custom personalized GAM/USGA bag tag
- Early application for USGA championship tickets,
including the U.S. Open
- The USGA/GAM Insider E-Newsletter
, a USGA publication specifically tailored to the needs
of the Michigan golfer
- The opportunity to volunteer at USGA-sanctioned
events and championships
