USGA, Avis To Provide New Benefit For USGA Members
Far Hills, N.J. (Dec. 14) - The United States Golf Association (USGA) and Avis Rent A Car have announced a new relationship that will provide special discounts and Avis Preferred Service to USGA Members.
Avis has already been working with the USGA, providing rates savings and vehicle efficiencies at the 2009 U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open Championships. Avis will continue to provide vehicles and special rates for championships and other events, but moving forward USGA Members will also benefit from the relationship.
The program will provide USGA Members with a variety of benefits including:
- The ability to save up to 25 percent off rates throughout the U.S., Canada and international locations
- Complimentary enrollment in Avis Preferred Service for residents of the U.S. and Canada
- Seasonal offers including money off weekly and weekend rentals, SUVs and specialty vehicles
- Guaranteed use of a non-smoking vehicle in the U.S. and Canada
- Special rates for USGA championships and events
Avis Preferred Service, which is available at nearly 1,400 locations worldwide, will allow USGA Members to enjoy faster reservations and bypass lines at the counter.

Enrollment for USGA Members is now available. USGA Members who sign up for the program will receive an Avis Wizard Number that will keep their rental preferences on file, let them skip the counter and go straight to their car.
