USGA Announces New Marketing
Relationship With Troon Golf
December 9, 2008
Far Hills, N.J. - The United States Golf Association announced
Tuesday that it has formed a new marketing relationship with Troon
Golf Management that will provide USGA Members distinct benefits at
Troon Golf-managed facilities.
The alliance offers USGA Members a discount on the purchase of a
2009 Troon Golf Card that will save them up to 50 percent on
regular rates at participating golf courses. Headquartered in
Scottsdale, Ariz., Troon manages more than 80 world-class golf
facilities in the U.S. and more than 200 courses worldwide.
USGA Members can choose from five card options, priced from $99 to
$699. Troon is also doubling the value for USGA Members with a free
upgrade to the FourSome level of each card, meaning that a
cardholder will receive green fee discounts for up to four golfers
in the group, instead of two. For example, a National TwoSome card
will be automatically upgraded to a National Foursome at the USGA
promotional price of $699 - a savings of more than $500 off the
regular retail price.
"We're excited to offer additional benefits to our USGA Members,"
said Fiona Dolan, director of the USGA Members Program. "Our
members are passionate golfers who play more than 30 rounds a year
on average, so this new relationship with Troon Golf will be a
great benefit to them."
