Limited Number of 2008 U.S. Open Tickets Available

Far Hills, N.J. – A limited number of general admission tickets are still available for the 2008 U.S. Open scheduled from June 12-15 at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, Calif., the United States Golf Association has announced.
Tickets are being sold online while supplies last at www.usga.org/championships/get_tickets/, with each buyer permitted to buy as many as four tickets for any one day. A daily grounds ticket is priced at $40 for practice days (June 9-11). A grounds package that includes all three practice days is $80.
Tickets for the championship rounds (June 12-13) are $100 apiece.Tickets for the weekend days (June 14-15) are sold out.
Upgraded Trophy Club tickets that include food and beverage options within a tented facility are available for the practice days (June 9-11) at $60 each.
The U.S. Open has sold out for the past 21 consecutive years. This will be the first Open conducted in the San Diego area. It is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the USGA.
The USGA is the national governing body of golf in this country and Mexico, a combined territory that includes more than half the game's golfers and golf courses.
The USGA also writes the Rules of Golf, conducts equipment testing, maintains an official Handicap System and administers an ongoing "For the Good of the Game" grants program, which has allocated more than $56 million over 10 years to programs that seek to grow the game.
