Handicap Index Limit New For 2005 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links

December 13, 2004
The U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links golf championship will introduce a Handicap Index® limit for entrants beginning with the entry form for the 2005 championship to be conducted from July 11-16 at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Mo. All entrants now must meet the conditions of being a public course golfer and hold a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 18.4.
If you have the skill level, but do not have a Handicap Index, contact your state or regional golf association or visit www.usga.org for more information. The U.S. Amateur Public Links championship instituted a Handicap Index limit of 8.4 in 2000.
The Amateur Public Links championships are two of the 13 national championships conducted by the United States Golf Association annually, 10 of which are strictly for amateurs.
