Pamela Martin Promoted To Senior Director Of Finance At USGA

Far Hills, N.J. - Pamela Martin, who has served as Controller for the United States Golf Association for the past 14 years, has been promoted to Senior Director of Finance as of October 2003. Martin, who joined the USGA in January 1985, will oversee all accounting, investment and facility operations for the national governing body of golf.

A 1978 graduate of Seton Hall University, Martin, 47, is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of diverse business experience, including tenures with Ernst and Young LLP, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and AT&T Communications.

Founded in 1894, the USGA's most visible programs include the conduct of 13 national championships annually, including the U.S. Open, and writing and interpreting the Rules of the game. The Association also funds junior golf programs, turfgrass and environmental research, a museum and archives to preserve the game's history, an equitable handicap system and the maintenance of equipment standards.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Association of Certified Public Accountants, Martin is a native of Glen Ridge who now resides in Manasquan, N.J.
