USGA Adds U.S. Open Qualifier In Maryland On June 3

Far Hills, N.J. - The United States Golf Association has added a site in Maryland for sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open, which has resulted in a change of qualifying venue for 38 players.
A 36-hole sectional qualifier will be held at Chevy Chase (Md.) Club on Tuesday, June 3rd. The 38 players were moved from the qualifier at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md., to the new site because capacity at Woodmont had been exceeded. Transfers were based on the date of receipt of entry applications.
A list of players for the two Maryland sectional qualifiers follows.
The U.S. Open is scheduled from June 12-15 at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Ill.
