I renewed my membership, but continue to receive renewal
reminders. Why?
topIf you received a renewal notice after you sent in your
renewal payment, it is possible that your payment and the renewal
reminder crossed in the mail. If you have received more than one
renewal reminder after you have mailed in your payment, please
contact the USGA Members Program Customer Service Department at
800-223-0041 or send us an email by clicking on
Email Us
to verify whether we received your payment.
The renewal process begins five months before your membership
expires. Five notices are sent out --5 months prior to
expiration, 3 months prior to expiration, during the expiration
week, 1 month after expiration, and 3 months after expiration.
Members are encouraged to renew on the earliest possible notice.
Renewing early guarantees that there will be no interruption in
the delivery of your membership benefits. Once payment is
received, your record is updated and no additional notices will
be sent.
I am a Member, but continue to receive invitations to join.
Why?
topIn an effort to attract new supporters, the USGA solicits
prospective Members through the mail. We obtain names from a
variety of golf-related mailing lists. The names on the list are
checked against our current membership records to avoid sending
invitations to our current supporters. We make every effort to
avoid duplication, but this method is not always foolproof. If
the name or address on the list is slightly different than the
name or address on our membership files, we will send out a
solicitation.
Please return the unwanted solicitation in the postage paid
envelope provided in the mailing and write "Already a
Member" somewhere on the form or email us at
membership@usga.org
and give the number in the highlighted box. We will make a note
of the name and address so that it is removed from future
mailings.
