The Sunshine Through Golf Foundation (STGF) is a not-for-profit organization that brings the benefits and resources of the game of golf into the lives of individuals with disabilities, beginners, juniors, minorities and the economically disadvantaged throughout the area served by the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA). STGF is best defined by the Sunshine Through Golf camp program which is the largest grass-roots golf program for individuals with disabilities in the country.

Intern will experience and participate in a variety of activities while at Hook A Kid On Golf of Illinois including but not limited to: general golf programming, administration, golf operations, event management, and customer service.

- Work with a 501(c)(3) organization aimed at individuals with disabilities and economically disadvantaged youth to provide access to the game of golf
- Work with Special Recreation Associations, Golf Professionals and Organizations dedicated to promoting golf and community development
- Conduct communications activities, such as taking photos and relaying story ideas, related to the Newsletter and Foundation special programs
- Ensure communication and coordination with STGF volunteers across the Chicago land area in their efforts to assist our programming
- Assume responsibility for operating several Foundation projects such as equipment, literature and award distribution to camps, the coordination of programming at the Sunshine Course, and handling on-site camp arrangements
- Assist in the planning and implementation of Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament
- Maintain and update STG Foundation web site daily for Directors and camp participants (www.sunshinethroughgolf.org)
- Represent the STGF at various events and programs throughout the Chicago District
- Assist the Director of Foundation Operations with daily office activities
- Attend events for the CDGA Tournament and Course Rating departments as needed

- Attend one-week training session at the USGA Golf House in Far Hills, NJ. All expenses paid for.
- Willingness and ability to travel the Chicago District extensively (Will be attending numerous STGF camps)
