USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern

Assist the EWGA Championship Director with administration of the EWGA Championship and other EWGA golf events and member programs.

Reports directly to the Director of Golf Programs and will work closely with Golf Program Manager and other members of the EWGA staff.

- Assist the EWGA Championship Director with the EWGA Championship
- Production and distribution of EWGA Championship administration materials
- Ensuring the website content related to the EWGA Championship is correct and up to date
- Training EWGA Chapter Championship Directors
- Managing registrations for all 3 levels of the EWGA Championship
- Helping with handicap verification for competitors across the event
- Tracking and updating participant information
- Fielding inquiries and tracking results
- Handling onsite tournament administration at Semi-Final and Association Championship Events
- Assist with other member service programs:
- Assist with managing registration and participation in EWGA programs
- Coordinate the distribution of program materials
- Assist with communications to Chapter Leaders
- Assist with communications to Golf Club Network partners, industry partners and sponsors of the Association
- Assist with administration of other Association golf events
- Registrations & verification of handicaps
- On site assistance including course setup, local rules, registrations, and scoring
- Fielding inquiries
- Pairings and tracking results

- Excellent verbal, written & organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate project team environment
- Experienced golfer - preferred
- Knowledgeable of the Rules of Golf

- University junior, senior, or graduate
- Pursuing a career in golf, sports marketing, business or related field
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Frequent sitting, standing & walking
- Occasional lifting or moving up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional reaching, kneeling or climbing stairs
- Vision abilities include close, distance, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Possible travel within the U.S.
