Manager of Membership and Club Services (Full time Position)

Spring 2008 (March)

Executive Director

- Actively promote the Association’s club services to new and prospective club/individuals.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the USGA Handicapping System, and the USGA Course and Slope Rating System.
- Administration of the GHIN Handicapping Service: including but not limited to recruiting new clubs, servicing existing clubs, conducting the NET Division during selected MGA Sanctioned Tournaments, invoicing and collection of GHIN clubs, and upgrading software and hardware when needed and insuring that all member clubs are in compliance of the USGA Handicap System and Course & Slope Rating.
- Technical support of Association’s software service (GHIN software suite)
- Communication projects to include, website publishing, editorials, an desktop publishing
- Maintain proficiency with all tournament management software.
- Assist in the tournament administration duties including but not limited to: verifying that all players have meet the membership and eligibility requirements for the MGA and MJGA Tournaments, creating and distributing MGA Entry forms, MJGA entry forms and MJGA information booklet for distribution to the members and member clubs, and creation and posting of pairings, results, and uploading to the website.
- Secure host hotels for events and negotiating hotel contracts
- Event administration support as delegated by the Executive Director
- Special projects as designated by the Executive Director

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Computer Skills
- Highly organized, energetic, and self- motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Innovative with ability to troubleshoot, and adapt positively in a variety of situations
- Ability to work and communicate in a team atmosphere with service oriented objective
- Ability to train and support software to varied levels of computer users
- Functional understanding of the USGA Handicap System and USGA Course Rating System
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- College degree preferred

During the peak of our season, staff members may be required to work 6 days a week. Your schedule will be flexible, and you will work some weekends. Comp time is offered for weekend work.

- Salary Range $23,000-$27,000 will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
