What We Learned from the Project

1. Decisions to hire architects or contractors can only be made on a project by project basis.

2. Selecting the best sand is a complex process.

3. Storing sand on site can insure consistency, but can be wasteful if there is no good place to stockpile the material, and may be unnecessary if the sand source is local.

4. Careful planning of labor and equipment resources for large projects with respect to other, ongoing maintenance is essential.
