Northeast Region

Anthony Minniti will travel in the Northeast Region.  He is a junior at the University of Connecticut majoring in turfgrass and soil science with a minor in business administration.  His advisor is Dr. Karl Guillard.

Anthony began working on golf courses at the age of 16 and instantly fell in love with the game of golf and the turfgrass industry.  While working on the Orange Hills Country Club (Orange, CT) grounds crew, he learned basic turf management skills and how to address common problems on the golf course.  Anthony had the opportunity to work at the 2010 Travelers Championship, the 2011 USGA Amateur Championship, and the 2011 Deustche Bank Championship. He also has completed an internship at Milwaukee Country Club (River Hills, WI).

In addition to his USGA internship this summer, Anthony will work at Oak Hill Country Club (Rochester, NY).  After graduation in May 2013, he plans to obtain a job as a golf course superintendent at a top 20 golf course.

He was able to work alongside him through all his summer vacations and realized his love for the game, and that he wanted to do this as an occupation in the future.  Tim was selected as the 2009 representative for his school at the Jacobsen Future Turf Managers seminar in Charlotte, NC, and additionally has been an active member and current president of the Delhi Turf Club.

Tim will graduate in December 2011 and work toward his goal of becoming a golf course superintendent.
