Michael Magnanihas been chosen as an intern for the Southwest Region.  Currently a junior at California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, he is studying turfgrass management under the direction of Dr. Jason Lewis.

            Michael has been on golf courses his entire life due to his passion for the game of golf and his desire to play professionally.  In the summer prior to his senior year in high school, Michael began working at Pauma Valley Country Club (Pauma Valley, CA).  During his four years there working with the maintenance staff, he decided to pursue a career as a golf course superintendent.  Michael also has worked at Avila Beach Golf Resort (Avila Beach, CA), and this summer will work at Cypress Point Golf Club (Monterey, CA).

After graduation in spring 2012, Michael looks forward to finding a position as a golf course superintendent.
