Royal Healy has been chosen to travel this summer with the agronomists from the Northeast Region.  Royal currently is a junior at the University of Massachusetts -- Amherst, where he is studying plant, soil, and insect sciences with a focus in turfgrass management under the advisement of Dr. Michelle DaCosta.

            At the age of 16, Royal began working at his local golf course, The Country Club of Barre (Barre, VT) until he enrolled in college. During his time in college, Royal has completed two internships, the first at the Rock Creek Cattle Company (Deer Lodge, MT), and the second at the Ekwanok Country Club (Manchester, VT).  This summer Royal will intern at TPC Boston (Norton, MA).

            Royal will graduate in May 2012, and pursue a career as a golf course superintendent.
